Pastured Meats Pricing

Pricing: There are three costs involved when purchasing beef from our farm.
1) The cost of the beef itself paid to the farm ($4.39/lb hanging weight).
2) The cost of the on farm slaughter (approx. $200 per whole beef split accordingly).
3) The cost of the custom cut and wrap paid to the butcher shop (approx. $1.15/lb).  

Below is a cost breakdown example of a half beef. Final cost is determined by size of beef, slaughter fee and cut choices you make at the butcher shop.
-half beef weighing 350 lbs hanging weight = $1,536.5  + $100 slaughter fee + $402.5 for cut and wrap.  
-Grand total = $2,039
-71% of hanging weight received as table cuts = 248.5 lbs = $8.20 per pound for table cuts.  

It is important to remember that the price for your table cuts applies to ALL of your cuts so you are getting your prime rib, T-bone steaks and ground beef for the same price.

1) The cost of the pork itself paid to the farm ($5.49 hanging weight).
2) The cost of the on farm slaughter (approx. $140 per whole pork split accordingly).
3) The cost of the custom cut and wrap paid to the butcher shop (approx. $1.15/lb).  

Below is cost breakdown example of a whole pork. Final cost is determined by size of pork, slaughter fee and cut choices you make at the butcher shop.
-Whole pork weighing 200lbs hanging weight = $1098  + $130 slaughter fee + $230 for cut and wrap.  
-Grand total = $1,458
-75% of hanging weight received as table cuts = 150 lbs = $9.72 per pound for table cuts.  

It is important to remember that the price for your table cuts applies to ALL of your cuts so you are getting your ground pork and tenderloin for the same price.

Pricing:

1) The cost of the lamb meat itself paid to the farm. ($8.99/lb hanging weight)
2) The cost of the on farm slaughter (approx. $120)
3) The cost of the custom cut and wrap paid to the butcher shop.  For lamb, it is a flat fee of $150.  

Below is a cost breakdown example of a whole lamb. Final cost is determined by size of lamb, slaughter fee and cut choices you make at the butcher shop.
-Whole lamb weighing 75 lbs. hanging weight = $674.25 + $120 slaughter fee + $150 for cut and wrap. 
-Grand total = $944.25
-85% of hanging weight received as table cuts = 63.75 lbs = $14.81 per pound of table cuts.  

It is important to remember that the price for your table cuts applies to ALL of your cuts so you are getting your ground lamb and your leg of lamb for the same price.
